Deirdre,

Received my package the other day. Thank you so much for taking the time to ship my items. The new hats are first class. The colors and quality are great. I got quite a few complements when I wore it to a family BBQ Saturday. When people asked me where Abbott’s was, I told them Noank, CT.Of course the next line was ” You go all the way to CT for lobster? “I proudly told them we’ve been going for over 20 years because it is the only
ultimate place to enjoy a great lobster dinner with the best atmosphere on earth!

Loved the post on Facebook of the picture of our table setup. It’s so out of control now that the table setup by the girls is starting to take on Christmas tree decorating event status. When we travel to the Mystic area, we not only have suitcases, but Rubbermaid totes with our award winning table setup.

Thanks again, see you on our next trip to Abbott’s.
Regards, Roy D

customers_picMy husband and I visited your restaurant last Saturday. Loved the lobsters and your wonderful waterfront setting. I blogged about it at Fairfield County Foodie. Enjoy!

Our family had a wonderful time at Abbott’s yesterday, celebrating our daughter’s birthday with delicious Loster Hot Rolls, chowders galore and many of the other food treats you offer.

Thanks for providing good food and family service – all on the shores of Long Island Sound.

“Dear Deirdre
I’m so excited. We weren’t able to make it to your place, as we have for years this summer. When we had vacation, the hurricane hit, and we didn’t know if we could make it up to see you. Since this weekend is going to be so nice, my husband, son, his girlfriend and I are going to come up on Sunday. I’m very excited because we have done this every year since our children have been small. I thought we were going to miss this year, but now we are coming. We have always enjoyed coming to eat by the water … It’s a long drive from Palisades Park, NJ, but my family raves about the lobster and the rest in the lobster feast, and – of course – the view. I am looking forward to getting a new photo this Sunday. See you then!!

Sunday

Thanks once again for a wonderful day and a great lunch… We got there around 12:15 and there was a crowd already.

Once again… we had a wonderful time. Thanks so much for a wonderful day. My son’s girlfriend came with us for the first time and she loved it!

“Thank you for the most amazing meal during our trip to Connecticut. If I had to rate you it would a ten out of ten. My husband, son and I are from Ontario Canada and are down here for a week on vacation. We heard about your place from our hotel desk at the Best Western Olympic. So we had to try it out and it was more amazing than we thought. My husband had the lobster feast, my son has your mussels and I had the Lobster roll. The portions were great and well worth every penny. The oyster crackers for the sea bass were a nice touch so we could eat and have entertainment for the little guy. The scenery was awesome and the service was quick, friendly and helpful. I can’t think of any way that you could improve. The image I had in my head of what this area would be like came true when I found your establishment. Thank you again it was amazing and if I still have money left at the end of my trip I may be back yet. I wish you many many years of business.”
Vivian, Ontario, Canada

“Hi! I just wanted to let you know how much our family loves your establishment. We were told about your place many years ago by my old tenants. Our family has been visiting your place every year for over 10 years. It’s so nice to see the pictures of the kids, who are now 20 and 17, every year at your place on the water. We have always gone somewhere once a week with them all summer, and they love the lobster that you serve so it’s a ritual. My daughter has watched two children in the summer for the past five years, and they look forward to going to Abbotts too. We are looking forward to going there tomorrow. We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoy you place and we look forward to our CT trip every year.”
Linda Bickford, Palisades Park, NJ

“All we can say is Wow! We came to Rhode Island to visit with cousins and relax. Being the great hosts they are, they took us around to see the sights and eat at the best spots and boy your place was definitely no letdown. We came by boat, 9 of us and ate like royalty until we couldnt move. Shrimp, steamers, mussels and then LOBSTERS! So fresh and delicious and the view of the harbor was amazing at sunset. Just had to let you know these Indiana cousins can hardly wait to come back and visit the Corneau cousins and make another trip to Abbotts!”
Bruno & Helen DeMarco

“My grandmother, Mary Alice Arnold, used to serve up huge bowls of lobster when I was a little girl, back in the very early 60s (my grandma died in 1964). My mother used to bring us back to Noank, and to Abbott’s Lobster, for years after that. My sisters and our family’s still come to Abbott’s on those rare occasions when we can come to Noank. But I always tell everyone about the best lobster place in the US – Abbott’s. It’s an experience you never forget.

Also, whenever I mention Abbott’s Lobster to people, I am always amazed at the response – many of them have been there, and all say it’s the best place to get lobster in the states! Seems we CAN all agree on something! Hope to be eating there soon!”
Liana Simon, Orlando, Florida

“I haven’t been to Abbott’s in over 20 years, but I can still taste the experience and remembered how to spell Noank. As a child Abbott’s was my mother’s favorite place. Her family lived in Westerly, R.I. and we spent summers in the area. Thinking back, I believe Abbott’s was the real reason she took the kids to Mystic Seaport! Abbott’s was her end of day reward. I am planning a New England trip with my kids for next summer and one stop will certainly be Abbott’s, (and Mystic Seaport). I now live in the Washington D.C. area where crabs are the crustacean of choice. I haven’t been to a crab feast yet that beats a meal at Abbott’s.”
Deborah Sholtes Boyds, Maryland

“Hi – I just wanted you to know that my request for Mother’s Day each year is to spend it at Abbott’s. This will be our approximately 7th time. Rain or shine, hot or cold (we have one picture of us snuggled in winter coats) I always look forward to it. Thanks for being there and for being sumptuous!”
Peggi Camosci and family

“First customer of the season! Best lobster we’ve had!”
Cheye and Robert, Libby, Montana

“Great Longevity “
Marge and Ellis, Noank, Connecticut

“Have a great season, so happy to be back!”
Dave and Evelyn, Cromwell, Connecticut

“Nice to be back!”
Rene, Manila, Philippines

“Our favorite place”
Bob, Marlborough, Connecticut

“Always stop when in area!”
Joe and Denise, Honesdale, Pennsylvania

“Always the best- Worth the trip!”
John, San Pedro, California

“What a fun place, but harder than hell to find!”
Gary and Annie, Ypsilanti, Michigan

“Great as always!”
Ernie and Dot, Rockville, Connecticut

“Oh please stay open until the end of October! We will be in the area Oct 19th and 20th and are disappointed beyond belief that you won’t be open for business after Columbus Day. Guess we had better plan our trip next year with a bit more care – see you in 2005! “

Dear Abbott’s Restaurant,

I am writing this letter to tell you that I chose your restaurant to review for a school project. I felt that the food in your restaurant was very good. I had one of your lobster dinners. How do you make your lobsters taste so good? Your service is awesome! Your employees are really nice. I would give it 5 out of 5 stars. I gave your restaurant a very good review. I can’t wait ’til it opens up in the spring. Your restaurant is so good.

Sincerely,
Erik Anderson
